The UC3M, which ranks between positions 161-170, is the best young university in Spain as regards employability, obtaining outstanding results in several indicators, such as the professional reputation of the university, internship programmes and graduate employment rate. Among the Madrid universities which feature, it occupies fourth position, behind the Universidad Politécnica, the Complutense and the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
The objective of this ranking is to use new approaches and an innovative methodology in order to assess the labour market insertion of graduates from higher education centres around the world. The GER, which looks at data from 500 universities, takes into account different indicators, such as the professional reputation of the university, graduate work opportunities, agreements with companies, internship programmes and graduate employment rate. In drawing up this ranking, the British consultancy firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) analysed the responses of some 42,000 companies.
